Upload your website to World4You

World4You is an Austrian host based in Linz. Hosting plans include PHP and MySQL, and you can add an .at domain directly.

New to this? Read the basics first – they explain domain, hosting and the structure of your ZIP.

  1. Book a plan

Book a web hosting plan on world4you.com and choose your domain. You will receive your “Mein World4You” login by email.

  2. Log in

Log in at my.world4you.com and select your hosting plan.

  3. FTP credentials

Open the FTP section of your plan (FTP accounts). There you find server and username and can set a password.

  4. Connect with FileZilla

Install FileZilla (only from filezilla-project.org), enter server, user, password and port 21 (or SFTP if offered) and click “Quickconnect”.

  5. Upload

On the right you see your web space. Open the root directory of your domain and drag the entire contents of the “website” folder from left to right. You can delete an existing placeholder page.

  6. Enable SSL

Activate the SSL certificate for your domain in “Mein World4You”.

  7. Done

Open your domain. If the old page still shows, clear the browser cache (Ctrl+F5).

Tips

  • For forms: create a mailbox with your domain (e.g. office@yourname.at) and enter it in the form configuration.

Hosts occasionally rename menu items. If you can’t find something, use the search in your customer area or contact your provider’s support.
