Upload your website to Hostinger

Hostinger is very affordable and beginner-friendly. Handy: you can upload and extract the ZIP directly in the browser.

  1. Book a plan

    Book a web hosting plan (e.g. “Premium”) on hostinger.com and connect your domain.

  2. Open hPanel

    Log in, go to “Websites” and click “Manage” next to your domain.

  3. File manager

    Open “Files” → “File Manager” and go to the “public_html” folder.

  4. Delete placeholder

    Delete the existing default.php or index.php (Hostinger placeholder).

  5. Upload and extract

    Upload your website ZIP, right-click it → “Extract”. Then move the contents of the “website” folder directly into “public_html” (index.html must be directly in public_html) and delete the ZIP.

  6. SSL

    Under “Security” → “SSL” the free certificate is usually already active – otherwise install it here and turn on “Force HTTPS”.

  7. Test

    Open your domain – done.

Tips

  • Don’t leave the “UPLOAD-GUIDE” folder in public_html.

Hosts occasionally rename menu items. If you can’t find something, use the search in your customer area or contact your provider’s support.
